Latest News - Widnes Junior Fights March 8th 2008!Dean Whites gym took 5 juniors to compete @ Wolfs Lair MMA camps British junior tournament in WidnesFirst to fight was Callum "Ratboy" McGuire v ?Malcolms Sapphire gym Liverpool 1st round started with a aggressive start from the Liverpool fighter with Callum weathering the storm by using pushkicks near end of rnd one Callum caught him with a perfectly timed long knee, Start of rnd 2 started the same aggressive start from the Liverpool fighter with Callum using very strong knee and pushkicks with him being unable to continue rnd 2 TKO Callum McGuire Dean Whites gym. Shaq Dean Whites gym v Sercan Semsik (Turkey) Sandy Holts Bolton Muay Thai this was a great fight with Shaq again using all Muay Thai skills cancelling out anything Sercan could throw at him his pushkicks where excellent!!! Great first fight for Shaq a real start of the future both fighters showed great heart and skill Carlos Douglas Dean Whites gym v Vittorio Clemente Golden Team Carlos still only being 12 yrs old due to being heavier weight never seems to get a easy opponent this time was the very strong fighter from Leeds rnd 1 Vittorio was very strong and aggressive winning the 1st round on shear grit rnd 2 Carlos started strong Vittorio being warned 3rd time from the referee for kneeing to groin area this rnd was more even with Carlos finishing the stronger with knees and body kicks. rnd 3 Carlos went straight forward using strong clinch and knees with Vittorio taking a 10 count with Carlos winning the fight on pts this is going to be one big strong fighter in the next 5 years. Jamie Sutton Dean Whites gym, v Will White Knuckles gym Will very strong clinch fighter but using judo throws Will winning rnd 1 second rnd started with Will throwing Jamie with a hip throw and being warned by referee Jamie was strong with kicks and pushkicks with Will looking to clinch. rnd 3 Jamie just had the edge this was a good fight for Jamie Will is very strong clinch fight and this would be a great rematch with Jamie winning this one also on pts. Betsy Brooksbank Dean Whites gym v a fighter from Mike Tobins this was a demo bought both girls showing good skills and both learning in front of a nice big crowd.
