
Events and ResultsBritish Junior Championship BirminghamThai Boxers crowned British Champions Dean White`s gym won the team of the tournement at the British Junior Thai Boxing Championship in Birmingham for the 3rd successive year. Of the seven junior members ho Dean entered,four returned as British Champions,while there was a silver and two bronze medalist. Shaqeel Ahmed of Dewsbury Moor,defeated fighters from Birmingham,and London before taking the British 6-8 years 28-32 kg title,defeating a fighter from Crawley in the final.Jordan Kilbride from Shaw Cross,beat fighters from Melton Mowbray and Devon in the final to take the 15-17 years 55kg British Title. Thornhill`s Bethan Oates recieved byes to the final of the 9-11 yrs final,where she defeated the Scotish Champion in the first round. Corey Schofield,from Heckmondwike, took the British 9-11 years 45kg title having defeated fighters from London and Crawley on his way to the final,where he won against a Scotish competitor. Bronze medalist Jamie Sutton,from Morley,fought out-side his weight category and lost to a 3 times british champion who then went on to win for a 4th year. Carlos Douglas from Dewsbury Moor won a bronze medal at the 12-14 years 60kg cha,pionship,he defeated a fighter from Melton Mowbray he was then defeated by a fighter from Blackburn,who then went on to win the British Title. Jaden Hansen, from Heckmondwike, suffered a split decision defeat in his final against a two-time British Title winner from Manchester. Jaden has only been training just over a year,but defeated fighter`s from London and Scotland on his way to the final.
